In 1972, the world-famous Western Han Dynasty Tombs at Mawangdui, Changsha were discovered, revealing three astonishing wonders that captivated both domestic and international audiences.
When unearthed, the medical texts on bamboo slips and silk manuscripts from the Mawangdui tombs immediately garnered significant attention from the fields of traditional Chinese medicine and archaeology at home amd abroad. Believed to predate the foundational TCM classic, Huang Di Nei Jing (Inner Canon of the Yellow Emperor ), they are regarded as some of China’s earliest medical literature. Among them, Yang Sheng Fang is one of the oldest specialized works on health preservation, documenting theories of yin-yang balance and the essence, qi and vitality of human body.
Around 1972, archaeologists excavated a series of cultural relics from Mawangdui Han Tombs, and Yang Sheng Fang is one of them.
Since then, Li Congfu, Liu Bingfan and Ouyang Qi, renowned TCM experts from Hunan, devoted more than a decade to the study and application of the millennia-old medical manuscript and ultimately brought about its revival. At first, the preparation being devloped was named "Jing Qi Shen Sanbao Ye" (Three Treasures of Essence-Qi-Vitality Liquid) in light of its functions and properties, which is the predecessor of Guhan Yangshengjing products.
In 1986, Shen Jiaqiu, then director of Hengyang Traditional Chinese Medicine Factory (now Guhan Traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd.), obtained the exclusive rights to "Jing Qi Shen Sanbao Ye". Under his leadership, the company's technical team engaged in relentless research and overcame numerous challenges, and by the end of the year, Guhan Yangshengjing Oral Liquid was successfully developed and produced on a large scale. In 1997, the company developed Guhan Yangshengjing Tablets based on the oral liquid, which are sugar-free and easy to carry.
Formula Composition：The formula of Guhan Yangshengjing products originated from the Yang Sheng Fang discovered in the 2,200-year-old Mawangdui Han Dynasty tombs. It comprises 11 Chinese medicinal materials: Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Astragali Radix Praeparata Cum Melle, Rosae Laevigatae Fructus, Lycii Fructus, Ligustri Lucidi Fructus(processed), Cuscutae Seman, Epimedii Folium, Paeoniae Radix Alba, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata Cum Melle, Hordei Fructus Germinates(parched), and Polygonati Rhizoma (processed), which are soundly combined to comprehensively improve health and simultaneously nourish the essence, qi and vitality.
Actions and Indications：For more than 30 years since their launch, Guhan Yangshengjing products have been celebrated for the threefold therapeutic approach: tonifying qi, nourishing kidney and supplementing essence. They can be used for the treatment of dizziness, palpitations, dizziness, tinnitus, forgetfulness, insomnia, fatigue and weakness caused by deficiency of qi and yin and kidney essence; these products are also indicated for menopausal syndrome or post-illness debilitation with these symptoms.
